I 11.B <br /> AGENDA ITEM: Public Hearing for City of Prescott's Community Development Block Grant <br /> (CDBG) Program Draft PY2019 Annual Action Plan and Adoption of CDBG Annual Action Plan <br /> (Resolution No. 2019-1685). <br /> On April 23, 2019 staff and CAC members gave the council an overview of the CDBG <br /> program, draft action plan and proposed projects for 2019. <br /> On April 24, 2019 Prescott received notification from HUD of an estimated grant <br /> allocation of$244,622.00. <br /> 2019 Proposals Received <br /> The City of Prescott has received nine applications from seven community based <br /> agencies for CDBG program year (PY) 19. The total requests for funding equaled <br /> $378,610.00 with an estimated community match of$507,700.00. The total PY19 grant <br /> dollars available for sub-recipients are estimated at$206,400.00. <br /> OVERVIEW OF PY19 CDBG FUNDS <br /> Total CDBG grant = $244,622.00 <br /> Total available for public service projects = $38,700.00 <br /> Total available for construction projects = $167,700.00 <br /> Total available for administration = $38,222.00 <br /> Funding for grant allocations is estimated to remain the same with the adjustment taken <br /> out of the admin budget for CDBG. Community Development will adjust administrative <br /> funds and the budget as needed pending HUD's approval of the annual action plan. <br /> The following six (6) programs and projects from six (6) agencies were recommended <br /> for funding for PY 19 by the Citizen's Advisory Committee. <br /> PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECTS Program Description Funding.Recommended by CAC $38,700.00 <br /> West Yavapai Guidance Clinic Senior Peer Program $22,327.00 <br /> Transportation for low income <br /> People Who Care and disabled adults $10,000.00 <br /> Youth Workforce Development . <br /> The Launch Pad Teen Center Program $6,373.00 <br /> CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS $167,700.00 <br /> Prescott Area Shelter Services Expansion Project . $25,000.00 <br /> US Vets Whipple Street Project(HVAC) $86,899.00 <br /> Coalition for Compassion and Renovation / Addition to 531 <br /> Justice Madison Ave ' $55,801.00 <br /> Financial Impact <br /> 2 <br /> I Packet Pg. 135 <br />
