RESOLUTION NO. 4265-1474 PAGE 2 <br /> 2. THAT, it is hereby recognized and acknowledged that said recommendations <br /> and desired outcomes will require a long-term commitment of resources by the City as <br /> the Airport infrastructure is improved during a period estimated to extend fifteen to <br /> twenty years into the future. <br /> 3. THAT, a site assessment is needed and shall be undertaken for evaluation and <br /> selection of the most favorable location for a new terminal at Prescott Municipal Airport, <br /> with such selection to take into consideration both the operational layout of the Airport, <br /> as well as factors enhancing economic development within the greater Airport Area. <br /> 4. THAT, the City Council hereby directs the Department of Economic Initiatives, its <br /> Airport Division, and other City staff, working in concert with the Federal Aviation <br /> Administration, Arizona Department of Transportation, and other partners public and <br /> private, to facilitate and coordinate Airport and Airport Area planning, other activities, <br /> and budgets, to achieve the desired outcomes. <br /> 5. THAT, the Mayor and City Council request that the Department provide regular <br /> and timely updates on actions, issues, and progress made with respect to the Steering <br /> Group recommendations and other items identified herein <br /> PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of <br /> Prescott this day of , 2014. <br /> MARLIN D.
