Agenda Item: Ratification of Purchase Order No. 2150232 with Instrumentation and Controls, <br /> LLC, for emergency procurement of MSA Gas Detection Equipment in an amount not to exceed <br /> $30,634.84 <br /> Procurement <br /> A quote for new MSA gas detection equipment was received from the only authorized <br /> vendor. Instrumentation and Controls visited the site, and quoted for direct replacement <br /> equipment to provide continuous gas monitoring and alarm reporting without having to <br /> install an entirely new system. Because of the immediate need for this safety equipment, <br /> the procurement could not be brought to Council in advance. Pursuant to City Code, 1- <br /> 27-10, Emergency Procurements, it is now being submitted for ratification. <br /> Instrumentation And Controls placed the order for the equipment on October 27, 2014. <br /> Wastewater treatment plant maintenance personnel are preparing for installation.
