A new Paragraph E is inserted to read as follows: In addition to the charges <br /> provided for herein, there shall be a monthly fixed charge for an Aquifer <br /> Protection Fee to provide a dedicated funding source for design, construction <br /> and operation of facilities and implementation of other measures and practices <br /> necessary for to achieve and maintain water quality mandated by state and <br /> federal law applicable to surface, reuse and recharge assets, as set forth in the <br /> following table: <br /> F. The new Paragraph E Aquifer Protection Fee Table is added as shown on <br /> Exhibit E to this Ordinance. <br /> G. Existing Paragraphs E through M are re-lettered accordingly. <br /> H. Re-Lettered Paragraph F is amended to read as follows: <br /> Other Incorporated Municipalities: Water furnished to consumers in incorporated <br /> municipalities other than the City shall be charged at the same rate as water <br /> furnished similar consumers within the City (inside City limits rates) plus a ._. <br /> surcharge equal to thirty percent (30%) of the inside City limits rates. The <br /> surcharge shall also apply to the monthly fixed charge, alternative water <br /> sources fee and the Aquifer Protection Fee. <br /> I. Re-Lettered Paragraph G is amended to read as follows: <br /> All Other Areas: Water furnished to consumers in all areas other than <br /> incorporated municipalities shall be charged at the same rate as water <br /> furnished to similar consumers within the City (inside City limits rates) plus a <br /> surcharge equal to forty percent (40%) of the inside City limits rates. The <br /> surcharge shall also apply to the monthly fixed charge, alternative water <br /> sources fee and the Aquifer Protection Fee. <br /> SECTION 3. THAT the Prescott City Code Title II, Chapter 2-1, Section 2-1-19 (Water <br /> Meter Reading and Billing), is hereby amended to add the following after the last sentence: <br /> The Finance Director is also authorized to write-off a water billing account in the event <br /> the account is deemed uncollectable or unwarranted by the Finance Director and City <br /> Attorney. <br /> 2 <br />
