PROCLAMATION <br /> "Official Red Shirts Friday City" <br /> RED stands for "Remember Everyone Deployed" <br /> December 2014 <br /> WHEREAS, the Red Shirt program has been in effect since 1945 <br /> and was designed to show the WWII military how proud the public was; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, we are determined to show our military that this <br /> Country, and specifically the City of Prescott, recognizes them as <br /> AmeHcan Heroes; and <br /> WHEREAS, by wearing a Red Shirt on Fridays you will show <br /> support of the troops, and if your job requires a uniform, wearing a red <br /> bracelet; and <br /> WHEREAS, getting the word out at your group meetings, websites, <br /> newsletters and to your neighbors will promote a better understanding <br /> and appreciation for all Veterans. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, I, Marlin D. Kuykendall, Mayor of the City <br /> of Prescott, Arizona, do hereby proclaim December 2014 as the <br /> beginning of Red Shirt Friday in Prescott, Arizona. <br /> IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused <br /> the Seal of the City of Prescott to be affixed this 2nd day of December <br /> 2014. <br /> MARLIN D.
