Legislative Update <br /> Alison Zelms, Deputy City Manager, presented the following bills: <br /> House Bill (HB) 2448 titled Just Compensation and Tax Credits. The bill failed on the <br /> floor but would be back for consideration. It would provide a right to exact funds, without <br /> due process from a city government. <br /> HB 2517 related to local gun control relative to laws regarding taxation, use and selling <br /> of firearms. The bill did not pass, but the League of Cities has requested a veto of the <br /> bill. <br /> There was recent action on the Liquor Omnibus bill which passed, with a minor <br /> amendment that addressed the Craft distillery concerns. <br />
