Agenda Item: Award of bid for the FY 2013 Pavement Rehabilitation Project to <br /> Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $1,689,376.85. <br /> City water and sewer facilities within the various street segments were evaluated and <br /> checked against the City Water and Sewer Models to confirm no immediate need for <br /> upgrade of the systems. UniSource Gas also performed leak detection survey within <br /> the project limits to perform any necessary repairs prior to the pavement rehabilitation. <br /> Bid Results <br /> A mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on June 6, 2012; three bids were received on <br /> June 28, 2012, as follows: <br /> Bidder Location Total Bid <br /> Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc. Prescott Valley, AZ $1,689,376.85 <br /> Combs Construction Company, Inc. Glendale, AZ $1,737,336.80 <br /> Fann Contracting, Inc. Prescott, AZ $1,947,837.50 <br /> Engineer's Estimate $2,068,106.00 <br /> Written confirmation of bid has been received from the low responsive bidder Asphalt <br /> Paving & Supply, Inc. Verification of the company's license, bonding, references, and <br /> past performance of similar projects has been completed. <br /> Schedule <br /> The contract allows sixty (60) calendar days for completion of the work with project <br /> milestones listed below: <br /> Award of Contract July 10, 2012 <br /> Pre-Construction Meeting July 17, 2012 <br /> Notice to Proceed (NTP) July 23, 2012 <br /> Substantial Project Completion September 25, 2012 <br /> Budget <br /> FY 2013 funding for this project is from the One Cent Sales Tax for Streets and Open <br /> Space; Account No. 215-7810-90036 <br /> Attachment - Location Map <br /> Recommended Action: MOVE to award the bid and contract for the FY 2013 <br /> Pavement Rehabilitation Project to Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc. in the amount of <br /> $1,689,376.85. <br /> 2 <br />
