IA <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> "Water Awareness Month" <br /> April 2010 <br /> WHEREAS, water is one of our most vital and precious resources; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,Arizona is a semi-arid state,and water is scarce;and <br /> WHEREAS, while the City of Prescott's water resources are <br /> limited,population growth continues to increase the demand for water;and <br /> WHEREAS, all citizens of Prescott should use water efficiently and <br /> practice conservation to ensure a long-term water supply;and <br /> WHEREAS, creating a culture of conservation will greatly reduce <br /> the impacts of drought on our resources,economy and quality of life;and <br /> WHEREAS,water education is the cornerstone of any conservation <br /> program, and greater awareness of water issues can be gained through <br /> community education,action and celebration. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, Marlin D.
