RESOLUTION NO. 4148-1309 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRESCOTT, <br /> YAVAPAI COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PRESCOTT TO ENTER <br /> INTO A LIBRARY SUPPORT AGREEMENT WITH THE YAVAPAI COUNTY FREE <br /> LIBRARY DISTRICT, FOR PARTICIPATION IN A LIBRARY NETWORK AND <br /> INTEGRATED LIBRARY SYSTEM KNOWN AS THE YAVAPAI LIBRARY NETWORK <br /> AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND STAFF TO TAKE ANY AND ALL STEPS <br /> NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE ABOVE <br /> RECITALS: <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Prescott operates and maintains a library within the <br /> corporate limits of the City of Prescott; and <br /> WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 11-951 and 11-052 authorize public agencies such as the <br /> City of Prescott and the Yavapai County Library District to enter into agreements for the <br /> joint exercise of their powers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties hereto wish to enter into a library support agreement for <br /> the cooperation in providing certain library services to residents of Yavapai County. <br /> ENACTMENTS: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PRESCOTT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. THAT the City of Prescott hereby approves Library Support Agreement <br /> with the Yavapai County Free Library District, for participation in a library network and <br /> integrated library system, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2. THAT the Mayor and Staff are hereby authorized to execute the <br /> attached Library Support Agreement and to take any and all steps deemed necessary to <br /> accomplish the above. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of <br /> Prescott this day of , 2012. <br /> MARLIN D.
