Agenda Item: Approval of a professional services agreement with JE Fuller Hydrology <br /> & Geomorphology, Inc., to update Willow Creek and Willow Creek Tributary FEMA <br /> floodplain delineations and design water utility scour protection in an amount not to <br /> exceed $135,257.00 <br /> The detailed restudy of Willow Creek will continue upstream to just below Jack Drive to <br /> include the channel crossing of the existing three transmission water mains that have <br /> been partially exposed by channel scouring. This contract will provide engineering <br /> plans for construction of scour protection for these existing mains. <br /> In addition the contract will provide updated floodplain analysis for the lower portion of <br /> the Willow Creek Tributary from its confluence with Willow Creek to approximately 1000' <br /> upstream of Clearwater Drive, among other things recognizing the increase of the <br /> expanded Clearwater Drive culvert. <br /> These studies and additional mapping represent the final work consistent with the City's <br /> Master Drainage Plan to update all existing FEMA Flood Insurance studies within <br /> Prescott. <br /> Procurement of Engineering Services <br /> On March 29, 2012, the City received three (3) Statements of Qualification for this <br /> publicly advertised project. Pursuant to professional services selection procedures, the <br /> submittals were subsequently evaluated. JE Fuller was the top ranked firm for this <br /> contract. The scope of services and fees were successfully negotiated and are attached <br /> for reference. <br /> Project Schedule <br /> Commence November 2012 <br /> Complete Submittal May 2013 <br /> Budget <br /> FY 12 funding is available for this project through the IGA with the Yavapai County <br /> Flood Control District in the amount of$200,000. <br /> Attachments <br /> - Study Limits Map <br /> - Scope of Services <br /> Recommended Action: MOVE to approve a professional services agreement with JE <br /> Fuller Hydrology & Geomorphology, Inc., to update Willow Creek and Willow Creek <br /> Tributary FEMA floodplain delineations and design water utility scour protection in an <br /> amount not to exceed $135,257.00. <br /> 2 <br />
