Funding is available in the Water Fund. <br /> FUNDING SOURCE: Water Fund <br /> Approved By: Michael Lamar, City Manager <br /> Item Summary <br /> This item is to approve City Contract No. 2019-219 with Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc. <br /> for construction of the Prescott Lakes Parkway Water Main Extension Project in the <br /> amount of, $155,855.55. The location of the project is shown on the attached vicinity <br /> map. <br /> Background <br /> The Prescott Lakes Parkway Water Main Extension Project generally consists of <br /> construction of a new 12-inch water main along the east side of Prescott Lakes <br /> Parkway. The main will connect to an existing 8-inch water main in Pressure Zone 14 <br /> and will also connect to a 12-inch main currently in Pressure Zone 0 that will become <br /> Pressure Zone 14 at the completion of the project. This small water main extension will <br /> have multiple positive benefits to the City's water system, including reducing high <br /> pressures in portions of Willow Lake Road, creating a looped system in Zone 14 and <br /> eliminating a downstream pressure zone and associated pressure reducing valve.(PRV) <br /> station. <br /> On January 9, 2019, the City entered into professional services Contract No. 2019-017 <br /> with Kimley-Horn and Associates for design and other engineering services for the <br /> Prescott Lakes Parkway Water Main Extension Project in the amount of $35,170.00. <br /> Bid ready plans and bid documents have been completed and the project subsequently <br /> advertised for construction bids. <br /> Bid Results <br /> The project was publicly bid on two consecutive weeks, March 31, 2019, and April 7, <br /> 2019. Five (5) bids were opened April 18, 2019, with the following results: <br /> I Packet Pg.75 <br />
