Public Hearing and consideration of a liquor license application submitted <br />by Robert John Elia, applicant for Ariva LLC, for a Series 07, Beer & Wine <br />Bar, license for Papa's Italian Restaurant located at 1124 White Spar <br />Road. <br />Ms. Burke said that this was a new license for an existing business, due <br />to change in ownership. The property had been posted as required by <br />State Statutes, and no public comments had been received. The <br />applicant's wife, Donna Alia, addressed the Council stating that they <br />purchased Papa's six weeks ago and she and her husband and their <br />daughter and son-in-law, along with their 4-year old grandson are running <br />the business. They are very happy and excited to be a part of the <br />community. She said that they came from Tucson where they also had <br />the Contessa Italian Buffet. <br />Councilman Bell welcomed them to Prescott and asked if they were <br />planning to be open for lunch. Ms. Alia said that they are looking to do <br />that in the future. <br />COUNCILWOMAN SUTTLES MOVED TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING; SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN BELL; PASSED <br />UNANIMOUSLY. <br />COUNCILMAN BELL MOVED TO APPROVE THE LIQUOR LICENSE <br />APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY ROBERT JOHN ELIA, APPLICANT <br />FOR ARIVA LLC, FOR A SERIES 07, BEER & WINE BAR, LICENSE <br />FOR PAPA'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT LOCATED AT 1124 WHITE <br />SPAR ROAD; SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN LUZIUS; PASSED <br />UNANIMOUSLY. <br />B. Approval to purchase and install one replacement HVAC unit and two <br />replacement heating units for the Prescott Police Department from <br />Energy Savings and Cooling in the total amount of $21,510.00. <br />Mr. Fenech said that during a scheduled preventative maintenance <br />inspection, three HVAC units at the Police Department building were red - <br />tagged for excessive carbon monoxide readings. Three bids were <br />received and opened, and staff was recommending the units be <br />purchased through Energy Savings & Cooling. <br />Councilman Lamerson asked if they could get some heating in the <br />Council Chambers. Mr. Fenech explained that the City Hall system takes <br />two days to get up and running once they switch over from cooling to <br />
