ORDINANCE NO. No 4842-1241 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRESCOTT, <br /> YAVAPAI COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF MISCELLANEOUS <br /> SURPLUS PROPERTY CONSISTING OF VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE FIELD AND FACILITIES DIRECTOR AND CITY STAFF TO <br /> EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS TO EFFECTUATE SAID SALES. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the personal property as listed <br /> on the attached Exhibit "A" is not needed or not likely to be needed by the City within a <br /> reasonable future time; and <br /> WHEREAS, an auction of surplus property should be held and scheduled on a <br /> date as reasonably soon as the Field and Facilities Director determines is convenient; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Renee Bates Auctioneers, PropertyRoom.com, Inc., and Public <br /> Processing, LLC, conduct regular auctions of surplus governmental properties and have <br /> successfully conducted such online auctions on behalf of the City of Prescott and other <br /> public entities; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 23, 2012, the Prescott City Council approved the disposal <br /> of surplus property by auction by the above mentioned auction services; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the foregoing auction shall comply with the requirements of <br /> Article VIII, Section 12 of the City Charter. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PRESCOTT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. THAT the property listed on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made <br /> a part hereof, is hereby declared to be surplus. <br /> SECTION 2. THAT the City Field and Facilities Director and staff are hereby <br /> directed to sell the property listed on Exhibit "A" through a public auction and bidding <br /> process of surplus property, on a date as reasonably soon as possible as determined by <br /> the Field and Facilities Director. <br /> SECTION 3. THAT such auction is to be conducted by the auction services <br /> above named as previously approved by the City Council. <br /> SECTION 4. THAT City staff are hereby empowered to accept the highest <br /> responsible bid for each of the items listed on Exhibit "A". <br /> 1 <br />
